Rutgers' Christian Campbell threw three hitless innings of relief, while Chris Suseck drive in three runs, as the Scarlet Knights earned a 10-4 win over the Fordham Rams at Houlihan Park on Wednesday.

The loss moved Fordham to 10-19 overall, while Rutgers improved to 11-20.

Fordham picked up the opening run of the game in the first, as
Joseph Runco singled through the right side and stole second. After a ground out,
Matthew Kozuch drew a walk and stole second.Â
Mark Donadio then plated Runco with a sacrifice fly to center.

Rutgers responded with four runs in the second to lead by a 4-1 count. Fordham scored once in the third to make it 4-2, as Kozuch doubled off the right field wall and scored on a single by
Ryan Mahoney.

The teams exchanged runs in the fourth to make it a 5-3 game, before Rutgers scored once in the seventh and four times in the eighth to lead 10-3. The big hit came from Chris Suseck, who connected on a three-run double in the eighth.

Fordham would score once in the ninth for the 10-4 final score.Â
Ryan Carroll opened the ninth with a single and moved to second on a walk to
Jordan Gajdos.Â
Tim O'Connor then reached on an infield single to load the bases.Â
Tyler Urbach then hit into a double play, which allowed Carroll to score from third.

Fordham used nine pitchers in the game with only
David Manasek (2 IP, 2 K) and
Cody Johnson (1.1 IP, 1 K) throwing more than an inning.Â
David Wright (0-1) took the loss, allowing four runs on two walks, a hit, and a hit by pitch.

At the plate,
Charles Galiano was 2-for-3 with a home run, while Runco was 2-for-4 with a run scored and two stolen bases. His two stolen bases gave Runco 60 for his career, moving past Ray Montgomery (59 – 1988-90) and tying Eric Reese (2005-08) for tenth on Fordham's all-time list. Mahoney was also 2-for-3 with an RBI in the game.

The Fordham baseball team will be back in action on Friday, April 10
th, when the Rams open a three-game Atlantic 10 series against Davidson, beginning at 6:00 PM.
