Richmond's Tanner Stanley, Jansen Fraser, and Kyle Adams each drove in four runs, as the Spiders completed a sweep of the Fordham Rams, 15-5, at Captains Park in Newport News, Virginia.

Fordham started out hot, scoring three times in the first inning.  Joseph Runco singled up the middle to start the inning and moved to second on a bunt single.  After a double steal, Mark Donadio plated Runco with a ground out.  Matthew Kozuch then singled home Edmiston for a 2-0 lead.  Kozuch then moved to second on a balk and scored on a single by Charles Galiano.

The Rams made it 4-0 in the fourth inning, capitalizing on a Richmond error.  Kozuch was hit by a pitch to start the frame.  Ryan McNally then doubled down the left field line, which was then misplayed by the leftfielder, allowing Kozuch to score.

Richmond then erased that deficit, scoring four times in the bottom of the fourth on RBI-doubles  by Tanner Stanley and Kyle Adams, as well as a two-run single by Aaron Newman.

A two-run single by Adams gave Richmond a 6-4 lead in the fifth, but Fordham closed to within one in the sixth.  Fordham loaded the bases with one out on a walk to Kozuch and singles by Galiano and Jason Lundy.  Joseph DeVito was then hit by a pitch to force in Kozuch.  The Rams' rally stopped there though, as pinch-hitter Ryan Mahoney grounded into a double play to end the inning.

The Spiders got that run back and more in the bottom of the frame, as Stanley connected on a three-run home run to right center, while Jansen Fraser had an RBI-triple to make it 10-5.

Richmond continued to pour on the offense in the seventh, scoring five times in the seventh to put the game out of reach for the Rams.

Fordham reliever Jimmy Murphy took the loss, falling to 2-3 on the year, as he gave up six runs on seven hits in 2.1 innings of work.

At the plate, Galiano was 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Kozuch was 1-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored.

The Fordham baseball team will next be in action on Tuesday, March 31st, as they play at Albany.
