Follow on Twitter Bronx, N.Y. (February 4, 2015) - The Fordham University Rams continue their 2014-2015 Atlantic 10 season, the 112th season of varsity basketball at Rose Hill, by hosting the University of Massachusetts Minutemen in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Wednesday, February 4, at 7:00 p.m.
The game will be televised on SportsNet NY (SNY) with Ed Cohen (p-b-p), Vin Parise (color) and Alexa Datt (sidelines) announcing and also broadcast on WFUV and www.wfuvsports.org. Follow the links above.
Fordham enters the game with a 5-14 overall record, 0-8 in the Atlantic 10, following a conference loss at Dayton on Sunday. Massachusetts enters the game with a 12-9 overall record, 5-3 in the A-10, after a 60-56 league win at Saint Louis on Saturday.
Wednesday night's contest will be the 40
th meeting between Fordham and Massachusetts on the hardwood with the Minutemen leading the all-time series, which started in the 1967-68 season, 27-12. UMass won last year's meeting, 90-52, on January 26 in the Mullis Center as Chaz Williams netted 18 points and added eight assists.

Eric Paschall and
Chris Sengfelder are the only set of freshman teammates to be averaging more than 10.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg. Paschall is second in the Atlantic 10 in scoring with a 17.1 ppg average while also pulling down 5.5 rpg, while Sengfelder is averaging 10.4 ppg and 6.5 rpg. The only other freshman combo that was averaging 10.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg were Purdue's Isaac Haas and Vince Edwards but Haas is now averaging 9.2 ppg and 4.1 rpg while Edwards is averaging 9.6 ppg and 5.2 rpg.
* The 2014-2015 Fordham men's basketball squad is becoming adept at taking away the ball. Through games of February 1, the Rams are third in the Atlantic 10, averaging 7.1 steals/game, including a season-high eleven in the South Carolina State game on Dec. 31. Junior
Mandell Thomas leads the Rams with 43 steals, ranking second in the conference (2.3/game).

Antwoine Anderson is ninth in assists/game (3.3) and Rhoomes is seventh in the conference in blocked shots, averaging 1.4/game.

Jon Severe is starting to heat up over the past three games, averaging 15.3 ppg while shooting 58.8 percent (20-34) from the field and 50.0 percent from behind the arc (5-10).
