Follow on Twitter Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham University Rams continue their 2015-2016 season, the 113th season of varsity basketball at Rose Hill, by hosting the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Saturday, December 5, at 4:00 p.m.

Saturday afternoon's contest will be the second meeting between Fordham and Central Connecticut on the hardwood. The Blue Devils took the first meeting, 75-69, in the first round of the 1998 Phoenix Classic in Hartford, Conn. Fordham is 56-27 all-time against schools currently in the Northeast Conference, including a win over FDU on November 21.

• Fordham University freshman guard
Joseph Chartouny was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for games played from November 22-29. The award is the first weekly honor for Chartouny. In a pair of Fordham wins on the week, Chartouny averaged 13.0 ppg and 9.5 rpg while dishing out nine assists and adding two steals. In an 84-58 win over Colgate on Tuesday he recorded a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds while in Saturday's win over Manhattan, Chartouny netted 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
• The Rams are off to a 5-1 start in 2015-2016, the best start for a Fordham team since 2000 when the Rams also opened the season 5-1 (The 2000-2001 squad opened the season 6-1).
• The current five-game Fordham winning streak is the longest since 2010. The last six-game winning streak for the Rams was in the 2000-2001 season.
• Senior guard
Mandell Thomas enters the game with 1,166 career points, good for 22nd on the Fordham all-time scoring list. He is 12 points behind Jermaine Anderson (2002-2006) for 21st on the list.
• With his 12 rebounds in the St. John's game, forward
Ryan Rhoomes brought his career total to 684, moving him into 13th place on the Fordham career rebounding list. He is six behind Charlie Yelverton (1968-71) for 12th on the all-time list.
• Fordham senior forward
Ryan Rhoomes has recorded a double-double in each of the past two games, scoring 20 points and grabbing ten rebounds versus Manhattan and then scoring a career-high 26 points and adding 12 rebounds in the win over St. John's. He now has nine career double-doubles and has scored in double figures in all six games this year.
