Davidson, N.C. - Duquesne's Abby Losco scored on a set piece in the 77th minute and Vanessa Perdomo had eight saves, as the Duquesne Dukes captured their first Atlantic 10 Championship over the Fordham Rams, 2-0, at Davidson's Alumni Soccer Stadium.

After a scoreless first half where chances were limited, both teams opened up play in the second looking for the first goal of the game.

Fordham's chance came in the 65th minute off a set piece header by Kristina Maksuti which Duquesne goalkeeper Vanessa Perdomo snagged.  Then in the 66th minute, Jessica Widmann had a pair of chances including a one-timer that was stopped at the goal line.

Duquesne cashed on their next opportunity off a corner kick in the 77th minute.  The cross came in to Maddie Layman, who found Abby Losco for a shot inside the right post and a 1-0 lead.

Fordham pressed to get the equalizer, on a corner kick by Brianna Blunck in the 83rd minute.  The ball eventually bounced out to Rachel Collage for a shot, which was again handled by Perdomo.

The Dukes then capitalized for a second goal in the 85th minute, as Fordham keeper Megan Fitzgerald came way out of goal to play the ball, but a misplay put it on the foot of Linnea Faccenda, who booted a shot from 30 yards out that rolled into the empty net for the 2-0 decision.

Following the game, Widmann, Blunck, and Nicole Bates were named to the All-Championship team.

Fordham ends the season with a 13-7-2 record, marking the second most wins in team history.
