The Fordham volleyball team fought hard in the final two matches of the Seton Hall Classic, but was unable to get by Middle Tennessee State and Dartmouth on Saturday.
In the opening match on Saturday, Chelsea Ross of Middle Tennessee State had a double-double with 15 kills and 10 digs to lead the Blue Raiders to a three-set win over Fordham. Final set scores were 25-19, 25-23, and 25-14.

The first set saw nine tie scores with the final one at 16 all. Middle Tennessee State then reeled off six straight points to take control of the set, eventually winning 25-19.

In set two, Fordham trailed 23-19, but the Rams looked to come back, pulling within two, 23-21, after kills from
Lisa Hipp and
Sarah Skelton. After the Blue Raiders got set point, the Rams fended off two set points on a kill by
Brianna O'Neil and a bad set by MTSU. However, Maya Miller knocked down a kill on set point #3 to earn the 25-23 win.

The third set saw the Blue Raiders collect four team blocks and hold Fordham to a negative hitting percentage en route to a 25-14 win.

For Fordham, Hipp had a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs, while O'Neil notched nine kills and six digs.Â
Abigail Konovodoff dished out 25 assists, eight digs and three kills with
Grace Muller totaling 16 digs and three assists.

In match two, Dartmouth's Paige Caridi tallied a match-high 15 kills, as the Big Green edged Fordham in three very close sets. Set scores were 25-23, 25-22, and 25-21.

For Fordham, Hipp notched 11 kills and seven digs with O'Neil having eight kills, six digs, and three blocks.

th, as the Rams begin Atlantic 10 play at George Mason, starting at 7:00 PM
