The Fordham volleyball squad finished its stay at the Hofstra Invitational on Saturday, falling in five sets to Sacred Heart and in three sets to Siena.
 
With the two losses Fordham is now 0-10 on the year.
 
In match one, the Rams were primed for their first victory of the year, as Fordham led two sets to one, heading to the fourth set.  The Pioneers though rallied to win the fourth and fifth set to win the match in five sets.  Final set scores were 25-18, 16-25, 16-25, 25-17, and 15-7.
 
The Rams did everything they could to knock off Sacred Heart, which included team season-highs with eight service aces and 13 team blocks.
 
For Fordham, 
Brennan Delsing had a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs, while 
Grace Muller collected 20 digs and four assists.  
Abigail Konovodoff also had a double-double with 26 assists and 10 digs to go with five kills and five blocks with 
Gabriela Cinkova adding four kills, four service aces, and four blocks.
 
In match two, the Rams fought hard against the Siena Saints, but fell short in three sets.  Set scores were 27-25, 25-17, and 25-14.
 
Delsing had her second straight effort in leading the Rams' offense.  She notched 12 kills and nine digs, while Cinkova had seven kills and nine digs.  Muller finished with 18 digs and three assists.
 
For her efforts in the tournament, Delsing was selected to the All-Tournament team.
 
The Fordham volleyball team will next be in action on September 19-20, as the Rams participate in the Seton Hall Classic in South Orange, N.J.
