Women's Basketball Hosts George Mason in Home Finale

Rams Look to Pick Up Crucial A-10 Win Against The Patriots

THE GAME: After a tough road loss to Duquesne, the Rams look to get back to their winning ways inside the friendly confines of the Rose Hill Gym, hosting Atlantic 10 newcomer George Mason on Wednesday night at 7 PM.

SERIES HISTORY: Although Wednesday night will mark the first time that Fordham and George Mason will meet one another as Atlantic 10 foes, it will be the fifth time that the two programs have faced one another overall.  The first came back in December of 2001, when the Patriots topped the Rams in Virginia.  The Rams responded with a win on their home court in 2003 before George Mason won the final two contests, both of which occurred in 2007 (first in '06-'07 season, second in '07-'08).

SCOUTING GEORGE MASON:  The Patriots have been struggling mightily in their first Atlantic 10 campaign, registering just one win in 14 A-10 contests and entering Wednesday's match up with a 7-20 record overall.  The Patriot's one A-10 victory did come in convincing fashion; however, as Coach Milleson's squad downed UMass 101-73 at home on February 12th.

The Patriots do pack quite an offensive punch, ranking sixth in the league in scoring and sporting three players who average at least 12.4 points per game.  The second leading scorer in the conference, Georgetown transfer Taylor Brown tops the Patriots with 18.2 points per game.  The Bowie, Md., native also leads the team in assists with 4.4 per outing.  Redshirt senior and Philadelphia product Janaa Pickard ranks second on the team in scoring, averaging 13.7 points per game and pulling down a team-high 8.4 boards per contest.  In addition to Brown and Pickard, Sandra Ngoie pours in 12.4 points per outing.
