BRONX, N.Y. - With just one weekend to go in a breakout regular season, sophomore Michele Daubman has been named Capital One/CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District. By earning this accolade, Daubman will be automatically placed on the ballot for Academic All-American honors.

"I couldn't be prouder of Michele and it couldn't be more deserved," said Fordham head coach Bridget Orchard. "Michele is one of the hardest workers I have ever coached, both on and off the field. The softball program is very lucky to have to her representing us."

Daubman's honor comes on the tail end of an outstanding season in the circle for the North Massapequa, N.Y., native. The Plainedge High School product has recorded a team-high 16 wins and has posted a strikeout to walk ratio of over three to one.

A three-time Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week recipient this season, Daubman's play on the field is outshined only by her efforts in the classroom. Through three semesters of study at Rose Hill, the Marketing major carries an unblemished GPA of 4.0

Daubman and the Rams have only four games standing between them and the conference tournament. The Rams play Saint Joe's on Friday and Saturday before heading to Temple for a Sunday doubleheader against the Owls.
