Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham and Richmond decided to move the start time of today's Atlantic 10 game up two hours in order to beat impending rain storms. The two teams were able to get in six innings but with the score tied at one in the top of the seventh, the game was suspended by the weather and will be resumed on Sunday at noon prior to the regularly scheduled game.

The first six innings featured a pitching duel between Fordham's Chris Pike and Richmond's Zak Sterling as each held the other team's batters in check over the first five innings. In the top of the sixth, Jacob Mayers led off the frame for the Spiders with a single and was sacrificed to second by Adam Forrer. Mayers moved to third on a ground out and then scored on a Nick Poulos single.

The Rams knotted the game in the home half of the inning when Joseph Runco singled with one out, moved to second on a Ryan Lee ground out and then scored when Forrer, the Richmond second baseman, couldn't handle Mike Mauri's infield single.

Pike struck out four and allowed five hits over the first six inning as Brett Kennedy was warming up to start the top of the seventh when the rains came. Sterling had six strikeouts with no walks and also allowed five hits through his first six frames.
