Tournament Results
The Fordham men's golf team wrapped up its second tournament of the season on Tuesday in Malvern, Pa., finishing the Wildcat Invitational in eighth place out of 13 teams. Senior Jason Del Rosso tallied the best individual finish for the Rams, shooting a five-over-par 76 at White Manor Country Club on Tuesday to finish tied for 22nd place.
Temple surged on the final day of play to take the team title, led by Matthew Teesdale, who tied the low-round of the day with a 72. Four of Temple's five players shot a 76 or below. URI, Villanova, Georgetown and Delaware rounded out the top five.
Braden Shattuck of Delaware took the individual title, shooting a 74 on Tuesday to finish the Invitational at one over par.
Del Rosso's 18-over-par performance paced the Rams by one stroke, as Ben Alcorn shot a 75 this morning to finish at 232 (T-26th)for the tournament.
Jeff Hogan posted a 78 on Tuesday to finish two strokes behind Alcorn in a tie for 35th, while Brandon Nolan shot a ten-over 81 to end in a tie for 46th.
Brody Nieporte and Connor Monaghan rounded out the action for Fordham at White Manor Country Club, as Nieporte put up a 78 to finish tied for 48th and Monaghan shot an 81 to tied for 64th.
