PHILADELPHIA -
The Rams will close out their best regular season in nearly two decades on Sunday, when they travel to Philadelphia to take on Temple. Fordham is looking for win number 22 on the year, a victory that would give the Rams their most succesful season as a program since 1978-1979 when Fordham finished with a 27-7 record.
Sunday's game also has significance in terms of seeding in the Atlantic 10 tournament. With a win, Fordham would guarantee itself at least a three seed in the championship, clinching a first round bye.
SERIES HISTORY: Fordham's final game of the regular season will also serve as the 28th meeting all-time between the Rams and the Owls. Like many of Fordham's series histories in conference, this one is a bit one- sided, with Temple taking 23 out of the 27 contests played, including the last 17 in a row.
This Rams squad, however, has shown quite the knack for going against historical precedent. Fordham beat Charlotte for the first time in program history, beat Richmond, GW and Saint Louis for only the second time, downed Xavier for the first time in 18 tries and topped Saint Joe's for only the fourth time in 38 meetings all-time.
SCOUTING TEMPLE: Picked to finish fifth in the conference before the season, Temple has struggled somewhat this year, entering Sunday's contest with a 12-16 record and a 5-8 mark in the Atlantic 10.
Victoria Macaulay remains one of the premier players in the conference, registering 14.3 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, good enough for seventh and fourth, respectively, in the league.
As a team, Temple pulls in over 40 rebounds per game, ranking third in the conference.
