The Fordham University men's basketball Rams continue their 2013 Atlantic 10 season by hosting the Saint Louis University Billikens in the Rose Hill Gym tonight at 8:00 PM. Fordham enters the game with a 6-16 record, 2-5 in the Atlantic 10, after an 81-65 conference loss at VCU on Saturday night. Saint Louis enters the game with a 16-5 overall record, 5-2 in the A-10, after defeating Dayton, 81-52, in St. Louis on Saturday.

Wednesday night's contest will be the ninth meeting between Fordham and Saint Louis on the hardwood with the Billikens leading the all-time series, which started in 1971-72, 7-1. Saint Louis has won the past five match-ups, including a 66-46 win on the Chaifetz Arena last February 18 as Cody Ellis netted 20 points and Kwamain Mitchell added 16 for the Billikens while Chris Gaston netted 14 for the Rams.

On the court, Fordham is led by junior Branden Frazier, who leads the team in and is seventh in the Atlantic 10 in scoring (16.0 ppg) and also leads the squad and is second in the conference in assists (5.1/game). Freshman guard Mandell Thomas, the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, is averaging 16.7 ppg over the past three games, 11.6 ppg over the past ten and 12.4 ppg in Atlantic 10 games, and is shooting 50.0% (6-12) from behind the arc over the last three games.

Jesuit Basketball Spotlight Tonight's matchup between Fordham and Saint Louis is part of the nationwide Jesuit Basketball Spotlight project, using Jesuit basketball to raise awareness of Jesuit education. Both Fordham and Saint Joseph's are Jesuit schools.

The Jesuit Basketball Spotlight project highlights more than 90 games this season between men's and women's teams from the 28 Jesuit colleges and universities across the United States. Each of the 28 is dedicated to strong academics and teaching women and men to serve others and live a faith that does justice.

The spotlight project includes awareness announcements during these designated games and during gamecasts on radio and television; and other awareness opportunities.

Jesuit, Catholic colleges and universities in the United States have more than 200,000 students currently and more than 1.7 million living alumni. The Jesuit educational mission began in Europe approximately 500 years ago.
