Fordham's Shintaro Noguchi Named Atlantic 10 Men's Swimming & Diving Co-Performer of the Week

Newport News, Va. - For the third consecutive week and the fourth time this season, Fordham junior Shintaro Noguchi (Tiburon, Calif./Redwood) was among this week's Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving award winners, it was announced by the league on Tuesday. Noguchi earned Men's Co-Performer of the Week honors along with Xavier's Chad Thompson.

Noguchi garnered Men's Performer of the Week accolades for the fifth time in his career after a very strong weekend against Massachusetts. He placed first in both the 200-yard butterfly (1:51.74) and 100-yard freestyle (46.22), while also swimming on the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay squads which placed second overall. The men's 200 medley relay set a season-best time, clocking in at 1:35.91.

Nougchi and the rest of the Fordham swimming & diving teams will next be in action on Wednesday, February 6th, when the Rams host St. Francis (NY) at 6:00 PM in the Messmore Aquatic Center.
