Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham University men's basketball Rams continue their 2013 Atlantic 10 season by hosting the University of Richmond Spiders in the Rose Hill Gym on Saturday at 1:00 PM for Senior and Alumni Day. Prior to the game, Fordham senior managers Mike McBride and Frank Petric along with senior player Chris Gaston will be honored in a special ceremony. Additionally, all Fordham men's basketball alumni in attendance will be honored at halftime of the game.

The game will also be video streamed live on Fordhamsports.com and will be broadcast live on WFUV.org and can be followed via Live Stats.

Fordham enters the game with a 6-21 record, 2-10 in the Atlantic 10, after a 68-60 conference setback at George Washington University on Wednesday night. Richmond enters the game with a 15-11 overall record, 5-6 in the A-10, and is coming off an 83-80 overtime win over St. Bonaventure in Richmond last Saturday.

On the court, Fordham is led by junior Branden Frazier, who leads the team in and is 13th in the Atlantic 10 in scoring (14.5 ppg) and he also leads the squad and is second in the conference in assists (5.2/game). Freshman guard Mandell Thomas is averaging 15.8 ppg over the past eight games, shooting 50.0% (15-30) from behind the arc over that stretch, and 13.6 ppg in Atlantic 10 games. Gaston, who returned to action after missing seven games with an injury last Saturday, scored a team-high 21 points against Butler, shooting 9-for-17 from the field, and he pulled down six rebounds, and he followed that with a team-high 14 points and six rebounds at George Washington on Wednesday. Gaston is averaging 14.5 ppg and 7.8 rpg on the year.

Saturday afternoon's contest will be the 18th meeting between Fordham and Richmond on the hardwood with Richmond leading the all-time series, which started in the 1984-85 season, 10-7. The Spiders have won last five meetings, including a win in Richmond last year on January 25 as Darien Brothers netted 21 points and Kendall Anthony added 17 for the Spiders while Chris Gaston paced the Rams with 22 points and eleven points.
