BRONX, N.Y. -
For a program-record fourth time this season, freshman forward Samantha Clark (Neptune, N.J./St. Rose) has been named the Atlantic 10's Rookie of the Week.
Clark put forth two standout performances in a week that saw Fordham go 2-0, guaranteeing the Rams their first winning A-10 record since joining the conference nearly two decades ago.
On Wednesday against George Washington, Clark netted eight points, collected six boards and recorded three blocks to help lift the Rams past the Colonials.
Then, on Sunday on the road against Saint Louis, Clark tallied 14 points, including 2-3 from downtown, grabbed eight rebounds and swatted away four Billiken shots in the victory.
In A-10 play, Clark ranks third in the conference in blocks and is pulling down seven boards per game.
The Rams are back in action this Thursday, traveling to Kingston, R.I., to take on the Rams of URI in a 7 PM tilt.
