Bronx, N.Y. -
A week after the New York City area was hit with white out conditions from Nemo, the Rose Hill Gym has a white out forecast for Saturday when eleventh-ranked Butler University pays Fordham a visit for an Atlantic 10 men's basketball game at 4:00 PM.
All fans in attendance will be provided with a free white Fordham t-shirt to create white out conditions in a packed Rose Hill Gym, named one of the "Cathedrals of College Basketball" by ESPN the Magazine.
The game is sold out but if you don't have a ticket you can watch the game live on the CBS Sports Network. To see if your cable provider carries the CBS Sports Network, click here.
The game will also be broadcast live on WFUV.org and can be followed via Live Stats.
Because the game is sold out, fans are encouraged to arrive early as traffic will be heavy around the Fordham campus.
Fordham enters the game with a 6-19 record, 2-8 in the Atlantic 10, after a 79-66 conference loss at Xavier on Wednesday night. Butler, ranked eleventh in the weekly Associated Press poll and tenth in the latest USA Today poll, enters the game with a 20-5 overall record, 7-3 in the A-10, after a 71-67 A-10 loss to Charlotte in Indianapolis on Wednesday.
Saturday afternoon's contest will be only the second meeting between Fordham and Butler on the hardwood. The Bulldogs won the first meeting, 94-80, on March 12, 1959 in the first round of the NIT.
On the court, Fordham is led by junior Branden Frazier, who leads the team in and is ninth in the Atlantic 10 in scoring (15.0 ppg) and also leads the squad and is second in the conference in assists (5.1/game). Freshman guard Mandell Thomas is averaging 18.3 ppg over the past four games after netting a season-high 23 points at Xavier, and a team-high 14.1 ppg in Atlantic 10 games. He is shooting 50.0% (10-20) from behind the arc over the last six games.
