BRONX, N.Y. - Coming off just the second loss in their last 11 appearances, the Fordham Rams look to get back to their winning ways on Wednesday when they host the Colonials of George Washington in the Rose Hill Gym.

Wednesday is Field Trip Day at Fordham, as thousands of local area school children will fill the Rose Hill Gym to cheer on the Rams in a noon tilt.

SERIES HISTORY: Since their first matchup back in 1996, the series history between GW and Fordham has been rather one sided, with the Colonials taking 17 out of the 18 games played between the two schools.

The Colonials took the first 16 games in the series, but Fordham finally snapped the streak when the Rams topped the Colonials at home in January of 2011. With that win, the Rams are 1-7 all time when facing GW in the Rose Hill Gym, while they carry an 0-9 record on the road and an 0-1 record in neutral site competitions.

Fordham, however, has continually defied series histories in this record-breaking season. They toppled Charolotte for the first time in program history, beat Richmond for just the second time, downed Xavier for the first time in 18 tries and conquered La Salle for just the ninth time in 43 career meetings.

SCOUTING GW: Under the direction of first year head coach Jonathan Tsipis, George Washington currently resides in the middle of the A-10 pack, sporting a 5-4 record in conference and an 11-12 mark overall.

No players average in double figures for the Colonials, but Tsipis' squad gets solid offensive output from a variety of sources. Megan Nipe and Tara Booker each average 9.9 points per outing for the Colonials in the team's first 23 games, while Danni Jackson and Shi-Heria Shipp average 9.3 and 9.2 points per contest, respectively. Three other GW players average at least five points per game.

Jackson, the team's third leading scorer, also averages an impressive 4.8 assists per game, good enough for fourth in the conference.
