George Washington Tops Fordham

The Fordham volleyball squad faltered on the road Friday afternoon, falling in straight sets to the George Washington Colonials in our nation's capital.
 
Set scores were 25-12, 25-22, and 25-13, respectively.
 
Lisa Hipp led the Rams with eight kills on the afternoon, moving her just 14 shy of the 1,000 kill mark for her career.  Brianna O'Neil, Carina Thompson, and Brennan Delsing each chipped in five kills in the losing effort.  Thompson hit an impressive .571 for the match. 
 
Abigail Konovodoff topped the Rams with 17 assists, while Maria Rodenberg tallied double digit digs with 11. 
 
The Rams have three matches remaining in the 2013 regular season, beginning tomorrow when they travel across the bridge to Fairfax for a contest against George Mason.
