Men's Tennis Gets Four Players in the ITA Ranking List in First Release of 2013

ITA National Rankings - January 3rd | ITA Regional Rankings - January 3rd

Bronx, N.Y. - As the start of the men's tennis season is just around the corner, the Fordham Rams got a welcome gift to start 2013, as four players were a part of the latest ITA Northeast Regional Rankings, released on January 3rd. In addition to the regional rankings, junior Kuba Kowalski also received a national ranking from the ITA for the first time in his career.

Kowalski was listed at #110 in the ITA national ranking along with Notre Dame's Blas Moros and New Orleans' Rui Silva. He is one of six Atlantic 10 players that have a national ranking, joining VCU's Max Wennakoski (#45), Alexis Heugas (#67), and Jamie Vazquez Catoira (#113), and George Washington's Francisco Dias (#76) and Nikita Fomin (#96). The ITA National Rankings list the top 125 players in the country.

Kowalski is also rated #12 in the ITA Northeast Regional Rankings, and is joined by teammate Srikar Alla for the first time at the #20 slot. Only the top 20 players in the region are ranked.

Mischa Koran


Mischa Koran and Emilio Mora also joined in on the ITA Regional Rankings, as they were listed at #6 in the doubles' team rankings. Only the top 10 doubles teams are ranked regionally.

The Fordham men's tennis team begins its 2013 spring season on January 19th when they play host to the BYU Cougars at Columbia's Dick Savitt Tennis Center at 2:00 PM.
