LAST TIME OUT: Three Rams finished with over 10 kills each on Sunday, but it wasn't enough as the Rams dropped a 3-1 match to the Marist Red Foxes in the finale of the Volley in the Valley Tournament in Poughkeepsie, New York. Final set scores were 25-19, 25-22, 19-25, and 25-20.

The first set quickly got away from the Rams, as Marist bolted out to a 15-5 lead en route to a six-point set win. The Red Foxes hit .324 in the set with only four errors.

The second set was tighter as the score was knotted at 21 all, before Marist scored four of the next five points to take a 2-0 set lead. The Red Foxes were again strong in the hitting department, posting a .391 attack percentage.

Fordham then got going in the third set, behind seven kills from Brianna O'Neil, as the Rams posted a 25-19 set win and hit over .300 as a team.

Set four was again tight with the score knotted at 18. A four-point run by Marist gave the Red Foxes the cushion they needed in order to post a 25-20 set win, taking the match in four sets.

For Fordham, both Lisa Hipp and O'Neill were selected to the All-Tournament team. Hipp finished a strong tournament with 12 kills and five digs in the finale, while O'Neil had 11 kills and two blocks. Brennan Delsing also chipped in her first career double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs with Abigail Konovodoff dishing out 31 assists to go with eight digs, three kills, and three blocks.

FORDHAM'S Lisa Hipp & Brianna O'Neil NAMED TO THE VOLLEY IN THE VALLEY ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM (9/3): Fordham junior Lisa Hipp and freshman Brianna O'Neil were selected to the Volley in the Valley All-Tournament Team, following their performances over the weekend. Hipp had two 20+ kill performances, which included a career-high 26 vs. NJIT, and one double-double, while averaging 3.95 kills and 1.63 digs per set. The 26 kills were the most by a Ram since Tihana Sarlija netted 27 in 1999. O'Neil averaged 2.37 kills per set and recorded at least 10 kills in all three matches, which included her first career 20-kill match against Hartford.

WHO'S NEXT: The Fordham volleyball team will next be in action at home on September 8th and 9th, when the Rams host the 12th Annual Rose Hill Classic, beginning at 11:30 AM on Friday.
