The Fordham golf team wrapped up action at the 2012 MacDonald Cup on Sunday in New Haven, Connecticut, as the Rams moved up a spot from day one, tying with Temple for ninth place with a two-day score of 585.
The host team of the tournament, Yale, came from behind to win the team title shooting a two-day total of 564, followed by Hartford and St. John's, who both shot 567, and Notre Dame, which shot 569.
Individually, Notre Dame's Niall Platt won the tournament with a two-under-par score of 138, after an even round of 70 on Sunday.
After an opening round of 73, Fordham's Brandon Nolan shot an even round of 70 to tie for 22nd with a two-day total of 143, while Jason Del Rosso tied for 34th with a score of 147 (73-74). Jeff Hogan tied for 39th (73-75-148), who was followed by teammates Brody Nieporte (T-52nd - 75-75-150), and Connor Monaghan (T-63rd - 72-81-153).
The Fordham golf team will next be in action on October 7-8, when the team competes at the Binghamton Invitational, hosted at The Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, N.Y.
