Final Results

The Fordham golf team took full advantage of the weather-shortened Cornell Invitational, held at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course in Ithaca, New York. The Rams would shoot a final round 298 behind four golfers in the top 11 to finish in second place out of 13 teams.
Binghamton edged Fordham by four strokes (593 to 597) for the team title, followed by Cornell (604), Bucknell (605), and Lafayette (610).
Individually, Binghamton's Josh Holling shot his second straight round of 71 for a winning score of 142 (-2), followed by Cornell's Zack Bosse in second (70-73-143 = -1) and Canisius' Mike Spiotta in third (73-73-146 = +2).
Fordham's Brandon Nolan was the top finisher, tying for fourth overall with a two-round total of 148 (75-73= +4), while Jeff Hogan (74-75) and Jason Del Rosso (75-74) shot matching 149's to tie for sixth overall. Brody Nieporte also finished well, tying for 11th with a score of 151 (75-76).
Also competing for Fordham were Pat Herlihy (T52nd - 76-84-160) and Ben Alcorn (T61st - 84-81-165).
The Fordham golf team will next be in action on September 29-30 at the Yale Invitational.
