Day One Results
Ithaca, N.Y. -
Mother Nature played a little havoc on the opening day of the Cornell Invitational, hosted at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course in Ithaca, N.Y. A five-hour rain delay forced the tournament to be shortened from 54 holes to 36 with the first 18 holes being played on Saturday. After day one, Fordham sits in third place behind only St. Bonaventure and Binghamton.
St. Bonaventure leads the 13-team field with a score of 294, followed by Binghamton (297), Fordham (299), Bucknell (300), and Canisius (301).
Individually, Cornell's Zack Bosse shot a two-under-par 70 (-2) to lead the field, while Binghamton's Josh Holling is one shot back after an opening 71.
For Fordham, Jeff Hogan is in a tie for 11th after an opening round 74, while Jason Del Rosso, Brody Nieporte, and Brandon Nolan all shot matching 75's to be in a tie for 16th. Also competing for the Rams, Pat Herlihy is tied for 23rd after an opening 76, while Ben Alcorn is 67th after a round of 84.
The Invitational will conclude with 18 holes on Sunday.
