Women's Basketball Volunteers at 2012 TOUGHMAN Triathlon

Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y. - For the second consecutive year, the Fordham women's basketball team hit the road for some team bonding and volunteer work last week, as the Rams volunteered their time at the 2012 TOUGHMAN Triathlon, which took place in Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.

The TOUGHMAN Triathlon featured a 1.2 mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride, and a 13.1 mile run, in which the Rams were able and ready to dish out food, drinks, and safety equipment through each part of the competition.

The Triathlon saw a variety of age groups competing from young adults to senior citizens, as well as events for the handicapped and disabled. The event raises money for the TOUGHMAN Community Fund, which helps support local community projects.

Volunteering at the TOUGHMAN Triathlon is just one of many community outreach programs that Fordham women's basketball team takes part in each year.
