Aug. 18, 2012

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - In the final tune-up before the team's season opener, the Fordham men's soccer team traveled up to Poughkeepsie for an exhibition match-up against the Marist Red Foxes on Saturday night. Much like the Rams' first exhibition, Fordham got a pair of goals from Kalle Sotka, while Mike McNamara also scored, as the Rams posted a 3-0 victory over the Red Foxes.

Sotka scored both of his tallies in the opening half, as Kyle Bitterman and Ollie Kelly earned assists on the opening goal, while Michael Stalker had an assist on the second goal.

McNamara rounded out the scoring with a second half tally off an assist by Julian Nagel.

In net, Sean Brailey got the start playing 60 minutes, while Ricky Berotti finished the game for the shutout.

The Fordham men's soccer team will now open its regular season on Friday, August 24th, when the Rams travel to Piscataway, New Jersey, for a match-up with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, beginnings at 8:00 PM.
