Brittany Daulton Named 2011 Volleyball MVP

As the 2011-12 season begins to wind down, the Fordham University Athletic Department held its 78th annual Block F Awards Dinner at the Villa Barone Manor on May 2nd to honor Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments during the academic year.

Among those honored was Brittany Daulton (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) who was named the 2011 Volleyball MVP.

A tri-captain of the volleyball team, Daulton earned All-Northeast Region honors from Cobra Magazine for the second straight year, setting career-highs in k kills (297), kills per game (2.54), digs (270), and total blocks (44) and received All-Tournament honors at both the Bucknell and Brown Invitationals. She also had a team-high 10 double-doubles this season.

Daulton became the eleventh Ram to reach 600 kills and 600 digs in her career and, at the Bucknell Invitational, she joined rare company, becoming only the eighth Ram to have at least 24 kills in a match.
