As the 2011-12 season begins to wind down, the Fordham University Athletic Department held its 78th annual Block F Awards Dinner at the Villa Barone Manor on May 2nd to honor Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments during the academic year.

Among those honored was Anisa Arsenault (Attleboro, Mass./Bishop Feehan) who was named the 2011 Women's Cross Country MVP.

Arsenault, a sophomore, led the women's team all year, capping the season by finishing fifth (18:30) at the ECAC Championships as the Rams finished eighth of 22 schools with a score of 212.

Prior to the ECAC, Arsenault took 30th overall at the 2011 A-10 Championships and she also placed fourth at the 2011 Metropolitan Championship, both team bests. She also took second at the St. John's Fall Festival and eleventh at the Williams Invitational and turned in Fordham's fastest 5K time last fall (18:25.8).
