As the 2011-12 season begins to wind down, the Fordham University Athletic Department held its 78th annual Block F Awards Dinner at the Villa Barone Manor on May 2nd to honor Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments during the academic year.

Among those honored were Becky Peters (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) who was named the 2011-12 Women's Basketball MVP.

A senior guard, Peters gave the Rams leadership on & off the court, as the squad made the transition to a new coaching staff and a new outlook on the court. She averaged 10.8 ppg and 5.4 rpg, both second best on the team, and become the 15th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points, netting the milestone in the season opener against Albany.

Over her career, Peters netted 1,318 points, good for seventh on the Fordham all-time scoring list and she also closed out her career with 108 starts, good for third all-time, and 191 steals, second best at Fordham.
