Fordham to Host 2012 Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship

Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham University will play host to the 2012 Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship from May 23-26 as the top six teams from the conference appear at Houlihan Park. It will be the second time that Fordham has hosted the baseball championship, first hosting the tournament in 2006.

The 2012 Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship is a four-day tournament with six teams vying for the league title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship tournament. The first three days (May 23-25) will feature three games each day, beginning at noon, leading up to Championship Saturday. All games from Wednesday through Friday will be streamed live on Atlantic 10.com while the championship game on Saturday at noon will be televised live on the CBS Sports Network (if a second game is needed on Saturday it will be streamed on Atlantic 10.com).

Championship Saturday begins with a free clinicfor children, ages 6-12, and will take place at Fordham University's Murphy Field for an hour and a half, and leads up to the Atlantic 10 Championship game at Houlihan Park. The championship game on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. will be televised live on the CBS Sports Network.

Information on tickets for the entire tournament can be found on Fordhamsports.com's Ticket Center . Single day passes for adults are $8, while senior citizens, students, and children are $5. Four-day passes for the entire tournament are $24 for adults and $15 for senior citizens, students, and children.
