The Fordham Rams look to bounce back from a disappointing weekend series on Tuesday night, when the Rams host their crosstown rival, the Manhattan College Jaspers, for a night game at Houlihan Park. Manhattan won the earlier meeting this season by a score of 6-5 at Van Cortlandt Park, as the Jaspers snuck out a ninth-inning rally to win the game.
Since 1923, Fordham leads the all-time series with Manhattan at 76-27-3.

SCOUTING MANHATTAN: The Jaspers are 20-23 this season with a 10-5 mark in conference play. The team is batting .268 on the season with a 5.02 team ERA. Offensively, Anthony Vega leads the squad with a .333 batting average to go with 31 runs scored and 23 stolen bases, while Yoandry Galan is hitting .314 with 23 runs scored and 20 RBI. Ramon Ortega is also one of the top hitters, leading the squad with five home runs and 37 RBI to go with a .293 batting average.
On the hill, RHP Scott McClennan will get the call as the starter. He is 2-4 in nine starts this season with a 5.75 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 51.2 innings of work.
WE'RE GOING STREAKIN': Mike Mauri is hitting .387 (12-31) over his last 10 games with three runs scored, four RBI, and three stolen bases... Tim Swatek is batting .325 over his last 10 games (13-40), scoring four runs to go with four doubles and five RBI...Stephen McSherry is hitting .367 (11-30) over his last 10 games with six RBI... Rich Anastasi has not allowed an earned run in his last 10 appearances (17.1 IP)... In the La Salle series, Joseph Charest and Daniel Munday became the first Fordham pitchers to throw back-to-back complete game wins, since Chris Pike and Max Krakowiak did so against La Salle on March 26th & 27th of last season.
GOING THE DISTANCE: The Fordham Rams have gotten a lot out of their starting pitching staff this season. The Rams have gotten six complete games this season, four of which are from junior Joseph Charest, who leads the team with 81.1 innings pitched. His four complete games are the most by a Fordham pitcher since 2005, when Tom Davis tossed five complete games and Cory Riordan threw four.
UPCOMING GAMES:The Rams finish their home schedule this weekend, when the team hosts Rhode Island, May 4-6. The Rams then end the season with two games at Boston College (May 12-13) and a three-game series at Richmond (May 17-19).
