Women's Soccer Wraps Up Spring Slate With Undefeated Mark

May 1, 2012

Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham women's soccer team wrapped up their spring season this past weekend, completing its six-game schedule with an unblemished record and 16 goals scored.

In all, Fordham played games against St. John's, Hofstra, Manhattan, Iona, Wagner, and LIU-Brooklyn.

As prolific as the offense was with 16 goals, the defense was just as stingy, giving up only three markers to the opposition. To view some of the highlights from the spring, visit the Fordham women's soccer team's Facebook page.

The scoring was led by Kristina Maksuti with eight goals in six games, followed by Annie Worden with six, Kaitlin Abrams with one, and Kaitlyn Carballeira with the final tally.

With the loss of only three seniors, the Rams look to carry on their spring success, deep into the fall season, as the team will begin its season against Big 10 opponents, Michigan and Michigan State, during the first weekend of competition.

The team is also happy to announce the 2012 captains will be seniors Annie Worden and Kaitlin Abrams.
