Bronx, N.Y. - USRowing Collegiate Poll (April 25, 2012)

The Fordham University women's lightweight 8 moved up a spot from the previous poll, jumping over the University of California, and is now ranked 14th in the nation in the most recent USRowing Collegiate Poll.

The Fordham lightweight 8 is comprised of Megan Sullivan (8), Alexandra McDonald (7), Maureen Paparo (6), Sarah Tully (5), Megan Feerick (4), Maria Capuano (3), Natalie Perpepaj (2) and Jenn Amoroso (1) with Rachel Sortino at coxswain.

Last weekend, members of the lightweight 8 competed with the junior varsity 8 at the Kerr Cup, taking second in a time of 7:56.1, behind Drexel A (7:31.2) but in front of Drexel B (7:59.9) and La Salle (8:06.0).

Overall, Fordham finished second of nine teams at the Kerr Cup.

The Rams will next be in action on Saturday, May 5th, as they compete in the 2012 Atlantic 10 Championships on the Cooper River in Camden, New Jersey.
