USRowing Collegiate Poll (April 5, 2012)

The Fordham University women's lightweight 8 is ranked 15th in the nation in the most recent USRowing Collegiate Poll.
The Fordham lightweight 8 is comprised of Megan Sullivan (8), Alexandra McDonald (7), Maureen Paparo (6), Sarah Tully (5), Megan Feerick (4), Maria Capuano (3), Natalie Perpepaj (2) and Jenn Amoroso (1) with Rachel Sortino at coxswain.
The Rams also recently competed against Iona College at the Orchard Beach Lagoon in Pelham, NY, where the Rams won both races. The first race included the Fordham Varsity 8 and JV8 and Iona's Varsity 8. The Fordham Varsity 8 won the race in a time of 6:45.07, followed by the Fordham JV 8 (7:09.67) and the Iona Varsity 8 (7:44.10).
The other race was between the two school's Novice 8's with the Fordham Novice 8 recording its first win of the year in 7:38.00, well ahead of Iona (8:11.00).
The Fordham rowing squad will next be in action on Saturday, April 14th, as they compete at the Knecht Cup on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.
