The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the 2011 Men's All-Academic Team award. Over 250 student-athletes were listed on the All-Academic team, which honors students with a 3.2 GPA or higher.
Fordham had two student-athletes, senior Christian Flessner and sophomore Dan Kearney, listed as All-Academic Award winners this season
The athletes were honored with either Outstanding (3.71-4.0), Superior (3.41-3.7), or Excellent (3.2-3.4) recognition.
Flessner and Kearney were both listed in the Excellent category.
Flessner just wrapped up his senior campaign as one of the Rams' goalkeepers, and makes the ACWPC All-Academic team for the second time. He ranked second on the team with 117 saves this season to go with 11 steals and three assists.
Kearney makes his first appearance on the ACWPC All-Academic Team, after playing in all 29 games this season. He registered three goals and four assists to go with 16 steals.
