Women's Basketball Faces Temple on Saturday in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, Pa. - The Fordham University women's basketball looks to return to the .500 mark as the Rams travel to Philadelphia for an Atlantic 10 conference game on Saturday, February 4, at 2:00 PM against Temple. Follow the game by clicking on the links below:

The Rams and the Owls meet for the 27th time on Wednesday. Temple leads the all-time series, 22-4, and has won the last 17 meetings. Interestingly, the Owls have an identical 11-2 mark against Fordham in games played at the Rose Hill Gym and in Philadelphia.

The Rams enter the contest with an 11-12 overall mark, 2-6 in the Atlantic 10. In their last contest, the outcome wasn't determined until the final possession for the second straight game as Fordham fell to La Salle, 56-55, on Wednesday afternoon in the Rose Hill Gym. Charlotte Stoddart was one of three Rams to reach double figures en route to scoring a career-high 15 points.

Fordham enters the game with three players averaging in double figures in scoring beginning with Arielle Collins at 11.2 ppg. Collins also leads the squad in assists (75) and steals (39) while Becky Peters enters play scoring 10.8 points per game and Abigail Corning is scoring 10.0 ppg and leads the team in three point shooting percentage (.354).

The Owls enter the game with a 13-8 overall record, including a 6-1 A-10 ledger. They have won six in a row after falling to St. Bonaventure in early January. The Owls are led in scoring by Shey Peddy at 16.8 ppg, while Kristen McCarthy scores 13.8 ppg, and Victoria Macaulay contributes 8.1 points per contest.

Following the game with Temple, Fordham returns home to continue A-10 conference play with a matchup against Xavier on Saturday, February 11, at 5:00 PM. The game is the second half of a doubleheader with the Fordham men's team.
