Fordham Game Notes
The Rams enter the game with a 9-14 overall record, 2-8 in the Atlantic 10, following a 72-70 overtime conference loss to Dayton in the Rose Hill Gym last Saturday. Duquesne enters the game with a 14-10 overall record, 5-5 in the A-10, after a 69-48 A-10 loss at St. Bonaventure last Saturday.
On the court, Fordham is led by junior Chris Gaston, who leads the team in scoring (16.4 ppg) and rebounding (10.1 rpg). He has 1,311 all-time points for the Rams, 14th on the career list, and he is also sixth on the Fordham all-time rebounding list with 858 career boards. Gaston leads the Atlantic 10 and is 21st in the NCAA in rebounding and has 14 double-doubles on the year, eighth best in the NCAA.
Wednesday night's contest will be the 30th meeting between Fordham and Duquesne on the hardwood. The Dukes lead the all-time series, which started in the 1949-50 season, 17-12, and have won the past three meetings, including a 91-72 win last year on January 26th in the Rose Hill Gym as Bill Clark netted 23 points and B.J. Monteiro added 15.
