Fordham's Titi Fagade Named Atlantic 10 Women's Indoor Track & Field Co-Performer of the Week

Feb. 13, 2012

Newport News, Va. - Fordham University sophomore Titi Fagade (Rutland, Mass./Waschusett Regional) was named the Atlantic 10's Women's Indoor Track & Field Co-Performer of the Week, today by the league office. It is her first career weekly performer award, and she shares it with Charlotte's JoAnn Blakney.

Fagade had a banner weekend, breaking two Fordham school records at the Valentine's Day Classic and the Millrose Games.

First, Fagade recorded a third-place finish in the 500-meters at the Valentine's Day Classic after posting a time of 1:12.89. It broke the old school record of 1:14.50 by Maureen Zivic in 2006 by nearly two seconds.

She followed up that record breaking performance by helping the 4x400 relay team break another record as they recorded a time of 3:49.05 at the Millrose Games. The new record time smashed the old mark of 3:53.14, set in 2006 by over four seconds.

Fagade and the rest of the Fordham track & field team will next be in action on February 17th-18th, as the Rams travel to Kingston, Rhode Island for the 2012 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Championships.
