Fordham SAAC Hosts Dodgeball Tournament to Benefit Hurricane Sandy Victims

Dec. 2, 2012

Bronx, N.Y. - It won't be televised on The Ocho (ESPN8) but it will be just as exciting as the championship match between the Average Joe's and Globo-Gym. For on Tuesday night, December 4, the Fordham University Student-Athlete Advisory Association (SAAC) will sponsor a dodgeball tournament with the proceeds going to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The tournament is open to the entire Fordham community and each participant in the tournament is encouraged to make a $5 donation. Teams are encouraged to preregister to ensure a spot in the bracket by emailing jcrowley1@fordham.edu with team name and team roster.

First and second place teams will receive a prize along with the "best dressed" team.

More details can be found at Fordham's Student-Athlete Advisory Council Facebook page or the Facebook event page.

So come on out and help the Fordham SAAC raise money for Hurricane Sany victims and remember the words of the immortal Patches O'Houlihan: "If you're going to become true dodgeballers, then you've got to learn the five d's of dodgeball: dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge!"
