Junior midfielder Nathaniel Bekoe has been named Third-Team All-Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
The junior midfielder was the only Fordham player to earn NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Honors, but was one of 24 Atlantic 10 players to garner such accodolades.
The Accra, Ghana native put forth a strong campaign in 2012, appearing in 16 of 17 contests for the Rams.
Anchoring one of the strongest team defenses in the Atlantic 10, Bekoe was one of the leaders on a Rams squad that held then #22 Brown scoreless in a 1-0 victory on September 9th, earning MVP honors at the Brown Soccer Classic. In addition, Bekoe also helped the Rams hold then #16 Charlotte off the score sheet in a 0-0 draw on October 12th in North Carolina.
Bekoe registered three assists for three points on the season, tied for third on the team.
This is not the first award for Bekoe in his Fordham career. The Hotchkiss School product earned First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors as a sophomore in 2011.
