Bronx, N.Y. - Following in the footsteps of other Fordham athletic teams over the past few weeks, the Fordham softball team joined in the Hurricane Sandy Recovery Efforts this past week, assisting with donations and shipments aimed for the hard hit areas in the tri-state region.

The softball team, in coordination with Fordham's Campus Ministry Office, made its way to the Kingsbridge Armory in the Bronx to help the National Latino Evangelical Coalition and members of the National Guard collect and organize items for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The Rams not only helped with the physical work of sorting donations and getting shipments together, but the team also helped morale, taking a number of pictures with volunteers and officers in appreciation for all of their hard work in the recovery effort.
