The Fordham golf team wrapped up competition at the Binghamton Fall Invitational on Monday at the The Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, New York. The Rams finished 11th overall out of 16 teams.
Laval University registered the winning team total and the top individual performance at the tournament. Laval posted a team score of 586 (291-295), which was 12 strokes ahead of Saint Peter's (598) and Hofstra (598), while Bucknell (600) and Binghamton (601) rounded out the top five. Fordham shot a two-round total of 621 to finish 11th, after rounds of 314 and 307.
Individually, Laval's Ujo Coussaud won medalist honors with a two-day total of 140 (68-72) with Binghamton's Bryce Edmister (72-72-144) and Seton Hall's Cory Wilson (74-70-144), tying for second.
For Fordham, Connor Monaghan was the top Ram, as he tied for 26th overall with a total of 152, as he shot rounds of 80 and 72. Brody Nieporte was the next best finisher, as he tied for 31st with a score of 154 (78-76), while Brandon Nolan for tied for 44th by carding a 157 (77-80). Jeff Hogan (T53rd - 79-79-158) and Nick Polvino (72nd - 89-80-169) also competed for Fordham.
The Fordham golf team will next be in action on October 13-14, as the Rams compete in the Big 5 Invitational, held at Plymouth Country Club in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
