Two Rams Pick Up Weekly Accolades from CWPA

Oct. 31, 2012

Lewisburg, Pa. - In the final week of CWPA weekly accolades, Fordham senior Alex Judge (Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y./Croton Harmon) and sophomore Noah LeBeau (Long Beach, Calif./Wilson Classical) were named the CWPA Northern Division Player and Defensive Player of the Week award, respectively. This is the first career award for Judge and the second for LeBeau, as he earned a Rookie of the Week award last season.

Judge notched two goals and two field blocks in the Rams' 10-8 win over Iona last Wednesday. With the win, Fordham captured the inaugural Dr. Francis X. Judge Memorial Cup, which was created to honor the former Fordham water polo coach, who is also Alex's grandfather.

This season, Judge has totaled 14 goals, which ranks sixth on the team.

LeBeau posted 13 saves in goal during the Rams' victory over Iona. The 13-save performance came just four days after he set the school record with 21 saves against Mercyhurst.

LeBeau has totaled 171 saves in 69 quarters this season to go with 24 steals and six assists.

The Fordham water polo team will next be in action on November 3rd, as the Rams take on Harvard at 12:30 PM in the opening roung of the CWPA Northern Division Championship.
