Fordham's Thomas Yi & Andrea Krok Named Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Performers of the Week

Newport News, Va. - Fordham University junior swimmer Thomas Yi (Honolulu, Hawaii/Kalani) and senior diver Andrea Krok (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) were named the Atlantic 10 Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Performers of the Week, respectively, it was announced by the league office today. It is Yi's second weekly award of the season, while being the first career performer award for Krok.

Yi recorded four individual first-place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle (48.34 - season-best), the 100-yard backstroke (53.28), the 200-yard backstroke (1:55.02), and the 200-yard individual medley (1:57.64) this past weekend in meets against Iona and conference foe La Salle. He also added a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle against Iona in a season best time of 1:44.88.

This is the second time this season that Yi has been named Men's Performer of the Week. Yi was named Co-Performer of the Week along with George Washington's Phillip Graeter back on November 14th.

Krok picks up her first career performer of the week award by winning three of four diving events in the Rams' two meets this weekend. Krok broke her previous school record in the three-meter dive, along with registering an NCAA Zone Diving qualifying score, with a score of 304.50 on Saturday against La Salle.

Overall, this is Krok's second A-10 weekly accolade, having earned rookie of the week honors once as a freshman.

Yi, Krok, and the rest of the Fordham swimming & diving teams will next be in action on Saturday, January 28th, when the Rams take on Rutgers and Rider at 10:00 AM in Piscataway, New Jersey.
