Fordham enters the game with an 8-9 overall record, 1-3 in the Atlantic 10, after a 66-64 Atlantic 10 win over the University of Rhode Island in the Rose Hill Gym on Wednesday night. St. Bonaventure enters the game with a 9-7 overall record, 2-2 in the conference, after a 77-64 conference setback at Xavier last Saturday afternoon.
On the court, Fordham will be led by sophomore Branden Frazier, a Brooklyn native, has had the hot hand lately, averaging 20.5 ppg over the past four games for the Rams. He is second on the team in scoring with a 13.0 average.
Junior Chris Gaston, who leads the team in scoring (15.4 ppg) and rebounding (10.5 rpg), will sit out the game due to a flagrant two technical foul he received on Wednesday night.
Saturday afternoon's contest will be the 33rd meeting between Fordham and St. Bonaventure on the hardwood. The Bonnies lead the all-time series, which started in the 1955-56 season, 18-14 (two St. Bonaventure wins in 2002-03 were later forfeited for use of an ineligible player).
