Fordham to Face Saint Joseph's on Wednesday in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, Pa. - The Fordham University women's basketball team returns to the road, looking to reach the .500 mark in conference play as they travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for an Atlantic 10 game at Saint Joseph's on Wednesday, January 18, at 7:00 P.M. The Rams and Hawks will meet for the 36th time on Wednesday evening. Saint Joseph's leads the all-time series, 32-3, and has triumphed in the last 10 meetings. The Hawks are 17-2 against the Rams all-time in games played at Hagan Arena.

The Rams enter the contents with a 10-8 overall mark and a 1-2 ledger in conference play. In its last contest, the team defeated Rhode Island, 69-49, in the Rose Hill Gym on Saturday. Becky Peters led Fordham with 20 points while Arielle Collins chipped in with 15.

Fordham enters the game with three players averaging in double figures for scoring beginning with Becky Peters at 11.8, while Arielle Collins is second in scoring at 11.4 ppg and leads the team in assists (64) and steals (31). Abigail Corning is averaging 10.4 ppg and leads the team in three-point percentage (.390).

Saint Joseph's enters the game with an 11-5 overall record, 1-1 in the A-10, after defeating Big 5 opponent, Penn, on Saturday. The team is led in scoring by Michelle Baker at 10.5 followed by Katie Kuester (9.4 ppg) and Ashley Prim (9.3 ppg). Following the Saint Joseph's game, the Rams return home as they continue Atlantic 10 play with games against Dayton and Charlotte. The game with the Flyers is on Saturday, January 21, at 2:00 P.M.
