Men's Basketball Hosts Rhode Island in Atlantic 10 Contest on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

Jan. 17, 2012

Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham University Rams continue the home portion of their 2012 Atlantic 10 season by hosting the University of Rhode Island Rams in the Rose Hill Gym on Wednesday, January 18th, at 7:00 p.m.

Head coach Tom Pecora is encouraging Fordham students, just back from their holiday break, to attend the game:

My Fellow Rams,

The men's basketball office would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and welcome you back to campus! We hope you all had a great winter break and were able to spend time with your family and friends. I know we here in the Men's Basketball office are excited to have you back on campus as we move forward with our season.

Our Basketball program is currently in the heart of conference play and could use your support this Wednesday night when we take on the University of Rhode Island at 7:00 p.m. in the historic Rose Hill Gym. Two out of our last three home games have been sell-outs and we anticipate another big turn out this Wednesday so please be sure to get here early and get a seat.

Over the winter break, we were fortunate enough to knock off Georgia Tech, from the ACC, and Harvard, who was ranked #21 in the country at the time, right here in Rose Hill Gym. Our goal when we first came to Fordham was to turn the Rose Hill Gym into a place opponents hate to see on their schedule. With those big wins over break, this process in well underway but we need your continued support to make this happen.

Best of luck this semester and please come out and support the Men's and Women's basketball programs.

Go Rams!

Tom Pecora
