The Fordham volleyball team is back home this weekend for the 11th Annual Rose Hill Classic, where the Rams will face some stiff competition from the likes of Colorado, St. John's, Albany, and Siena. Full coverage can be found on the Rose Hill Classic Tournament Central page.

LAST TIME OUT: With two matches on Saturday, the Fordham volleyball team looked to get back on track after their five-set loss to Bucknell on Friday night. However, Manhattan and Dartmouth had other ideas as both squads topped Fordham on day two of the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
The first match of the day came against Manhattan, where the Jaspers won in three sets, 25-21, 25-21, and 25-22.
The Rams had a rough go offensively, hitting less than .100 as a team, committing 20 attack errors. Brittany Daulton was the top threat with seven kills, six digs, and five blocks with Kim Capicotto adding six kills. Sara Konkel and Maria Rodenberg split the setter duties with Konkel having 14 assists and nine digs and Rodenberg adding eight assists, seven digs, and three aces.
In match two, Dartmouth's Madeline Baird had a match-high 17 kills and eight digs, as the Big Green posted a three-set win by scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-21.
Konkel finished with the lone double-double for Fordham with 19 assists and 10 digs, while Daulton, who was named to the All-Tournament team, had a team-high 10 kills to go with six digs. Rose Diaz-Vazquez and Lisa Hipp also added six kills apiece with Rodenberg having 11 assists and nine digs.
TEAM CAPTAINS: Seniors Megan Arend, Kim Capicotto, and Brittany Daulton will serve as the Fordham team captains for the 2011 season.
ATLANTIC 10 PRESEASON RANKINGS (8/11): The Atlantic 10 Conference announced coaches' predictions and the preseason All-Conference teams for volleyball with Fordham selected to finish seventh in the 10-team league.
Dayton, Xavier, and Duquesne were picked as the top three teams in the league, followed by Saint Louis, Charlotte, and George Washington, while Fordham, Rhode Island, Temple and La Salle round out the predictions.
