Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham women's basketball team released the entire 2011-2012 schedule on Thursday, September 8. The squad will play a total of 29 overall games, including 14 conference match-ups.

The non-conference portion of the schedule begins on Friday, November 11 with a game against Albany. These two schools met last season, and Fordham prevailed, 48-43. After the match-up with the Great Danes, the Rams face Cleveland State before traveling up to Worcester, Massachusetts for their first road game, against Holy Cross on Saturday, November 19. After that, the team travels to Orlando, Florida during the Thanksgiving break, for the UCF Tournament with Central Florida, TCU and Hartford. They close out November with a renewal of the annual "Battle of the Bronx" when they meet Manhattan College at the Draddy Gymnasium on November 30.

The month of December opens with Fordham hosting San Diego on Saturday, December 3. From there, the team embarks on a three game road trip, visiting Bucknell, Rutgers and Stony Brook, before returning to the Rose Hill Gymnasium for a meeting with Winthrop on Saturday, December 17 at 2:00 P.M. The team will be home for Christmas and will host the annual Fordham Holiday Tournament on Thursday and Friday, December 28 and 29. The Rams will open with Navy in the first game and then face either Boston University or Coppin State in the next round, depending upon the outcome of day one's competitions.

For the new year, Fordham opens 2012 with Cornell at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, January 2. After that, it's a quick trip down Interstate 95 to face Delaware State on Wednesday, January 4. The game with the Hornets will close out non-conference play for the Rams.

Fordham commences conference play on Saturday, January 7, with a trip to Washington, D.C. to meet George Washington. The game with the Colonials will be televised on CBS Sports Network and thus, the start time is still to be determined. The Rams go to La Salle after that for the start of a home and home series with the Explorers. The game in Philadelphia takes place on Wednesday, January 11. The team opens up the home portion of Atlantic 10 play with Rhode Island, on Saturday, January 14 at 2:00 P.M. The Rams from Rhode Island were one of the league wins the team from the Bronx had last season.

After a return trip to Philadelphia to face Saint Joseph's on Wednesday, January 18, Fordham hosts a pair of teams at the Rose Hill Gym. The first opponent in is Dayton University, on Saturday, January 21. Following that, Wednesday 25 will see the Rams faceoff against the Charlotte 49ers. Finally, Fordham will close out the month of January with a trip to Amherst, Massachusetts to face UMass on Saturday, January 28.

February opens with the second half of the home and home series with the Explorers on Wednesday, February 1. The game time is scheduled for noon. The third trip to Philadelphia follows the game with La Salle as the Rams return to the City of Brother Love to meet Temple on Saturday, February 4. Another pair of home games greets Fordham after that as Xavier and Duquesne head into New York City. The game with the Muskeeters, on Saturday, February 11, is a doubleheader with the men's team. After the final road trip of the year, which has the Rams going to Richmond and St. Bonaventure, Fordham closes out the year with Senior Day against Saint Louis on February 26.

The Atlantic 10 Tournament will have the Rams return to Philadelphia as Saint Joseph's Hagan Arena will serve as the site. The championship will run from March 2-5, 2012.
