The Fordham volleyball team hits the road this weekend to Philadelphia for Atlantic 10 play. The Rams meet the La Salle Explorers on Friday night, following by a 7:00 PM match-up at Temple on Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT: Despite a career-high nine kills from Carina Thompson, the Fordham volleyball team dropped its third straight match on Wednesday night at the Rose Hill Gym, falling in four sets to the Seton Hall Pirates. Final set scores were 25-18, 25-13, 21-25, and 25-18.
Set one went the Pirates' way, following an 11-4 run in the middle of the set and highlighted by four team blocks.
In set two, the Pirates' offensive attack was the big difference, hitting .379 as a team with just three errors, as Seton Hall opened up a 2-0 set lead.
Fordham got back into the match in set three with a four-point win. With the score tied at nine, the Rams took advantage of four errors by the Pirates to take a 13-9 lead, which they would not relinquish, forcing a fourth set.
However, Seton Hall jetted out to a 12-4 lead in set four, and never looked back, once again posting four team blocks. The Pirates ended the match with 15 team blocks to Fordham's 10.
Individually, Fordham's Brittany Daulton recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs, while Carina Thompson had a career-high nine kills. Randi Ewing also added nine kills and four blocks with Rose Diaz-Vazquez posting seven kills and tying a season-high with five blocks. Mary Diamantidis also had a double-double with 17 assists and 13 digs with Megan Arend chipping in 15 digs and three assists.
DIAZ-VAQUEZ & DAULTON PICK UP ALL-TOURNAMENT HONORS: Following the final regular season tournament of the season, two Fordham players have received All-Tournament this season: senior Brittany Daulton and freshman Rose Diaz-Vazquez.
Daulton was named to the Bucknell Invitational All-Tournament team after beginning the weekend with a career-high 24 kills against host Bucknell, hitting .378 with 11 digs. She then had seven kills and a career-high five blocks against Manhattan, and finished the tournament with 10 kills against Dartmouth. She also took home All-Tournament honors from the Brown Invitational, after recording double-figures kills in all three matches.
Diaz-Vazquez was named to the Rose Hill Classic All-Tournament team, as Fordham's lone representative. She posted a season-best 10 kills and a .444 hitting percentage in the Rams' win over Siena, and then matched that performance with 10 kills against St. John's.
RAM MILESTONES: Throughout the season, Fordham players will be closing in on personal milestones. Here is a look at a few to keep an eye on.
- In the Rams' match against Rhode Island, senior Megan Arend recorded her 700th career dig. She now ranks in the top 15 all-time at Fordham in that category.
- Senior Brittany Daulton is 14 kills away from 500 for her career.
